KL Rahul shares hilarious banter with Kevin Pietersen and a funny plea to his wife

Star Indian batter KL Rahul has opened up about his fun-filled exchanges with Kevin Pietersen during their time together at Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025, revealing a hilarious moment that even drew in Pietersen’s wife, Jessica. Rahul joined the franchise from Lucknow Super Giants, while Pietersen took charge as mentor. Speaking on the 2 Sloggers YouTube podcast, Rahul recalled how his wife, actor Athiya Shetty, had a playful complaint after seeing clips of his banter with Pietersen online.

“Our banter is different. He gives it to you, and I give it back,” Rahul laughed. “There was a video DC posted, and my wife said, ‘Why are you being so mean? He’s such a sweet guy!’”

Rahul revealed that fans saw only a glimpse of their dynamic. “I told her, ‘What you see is just 3 out of 100 times he’s after me!’” he joked.
