India produced a commanding all-round performance in Visakhapatnam to defeat South Africa in the third ODI and clinch the series 2–1. After a setback in the second ODI in dewy Raipur, the hosts returned with intent, discipline, and firepower to dominate the decider.

The day began perfectly for India after captain KL Rahul won the toss. The bowlers set the tone early, with Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav dismantling South Africa’s batting line-up, each claiming four wickets. Their sharp spells restricted the visitors to 270 runs, giving India a manageable target.

Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh also impressed, keeping the pressure on with disciplined bowling, especially with the new ball.

Jaiswal Leads the Charge, Rohit and Kohli Seal the Chase

In the chase, Yashasvi Jaiswal stole the spotlight with a brilliant maiden ODI hundred of 116 runs, showcasing maturity and flair beyond his years. Captain Rohit Sharma contributed a fluent 75, keeping India ahead of the required rate.

The finishing touches came from Virat Kohli, who continued his sublime form with yet another 50-plus score with 65 of 45 balls, his third consecutive in the series, guiding India comfortably to victory.

A clinical bowling effort followed by a superb top-order display ensured India sealed the series in style. With young talent shining alongside seasoned legends, the triumph in Vizag marks another confident step forward for Indian cricket.
