Abu Dhabi: SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator round of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Friday. SRH successfully chased the winning target of 132 runs at a loss of 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets.

Winning this match, SRH qualified in the eliminator round and would be facing Delhi Capitals (DC) in the next match.

David Warner and Shreevats Goswami opened the innings, however, SRH got a big blow with dismissal of Goswami in the first over. Mohammed Siraj took the first wicket.

Steady partnership of Warner with Manish Pandey helped to increase SRH's total score to 43 runs till the dismissal of Warner in the 6th over. Again it was Siraj who took the big wicket. Warner could score only 17 runs off 16 balls.

Next, it was Manish who departed in the 9th over. Adam Zampa took the big wicket slowing down SRH from collecting runs to achieve victory.

By the end of 11 overs, SRH was at 64 with loss of 3 wickets.

Next, it was Priyam Garg in the 12th over. Yuzvendra Chahal got his first wicket in the match. Garg could score only 7 runs.

Kane Williamson took a long stand and played a good innings to score a half-century in the last over of the match of 44 balls. His unbeaten runs helped SRH to defeat RCB by

Jason Holder also remained unbeaten at  24 runs off 20 balls.

Earlier, Jason Holder picked three wickets as SRH restricted RCB to 131/7 wickets.

AB de Villiers collected maximum runs (56) for RCB, however, he was dismissed by a yorker from Thangarasu Natarajan.

RCB captain Virat Kohli opened the innings with Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch batting at No.3. The experiment didn't produce results as Kohli and fellow opener Padikkal fell within the first four overs while Finch departed having made a 30-ball 32.

Holder was the man who took out the openers while Finch fell to Shahbaz Nadeem. Holder also dismissed Shivam Dube while Rashid Khan went wicketless but conceded just 22 runs in his four overs.

Earlier, SRH won the toss and chose to bowl against RCB.
