Bhubaneswar/Mumbai: After a fresh auction and with fresh pool of players, the wait for the complete schedule of Indian Premier League has come to an end now with the declaration of the dates and the venues for the season 11 of the cash-rich league.
Defending champions Mumbai Indians are scheduled to meet Chennai Super Kings, one of the two sides making a comeback into the league after a two-year suspension. The inaugural game will be played at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai on April 7.
In total, 60 matches will be played in nine cities in this edition of the IPL with the final to be played at Wankhade Stadium on May 27. The first double-header is going to be played on April 8 at Feroz Shah Kotla between North Indian teams Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab while Eden Gardens will be hosting a game between SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders and Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore.
