Hosts India were frustrated by a spirited West Indies fightback on the fourth day of the second Test in Delhi on Monday. After enforcing the follow-on, the hosts saw the visitors show remarkable resilience in their second innings, with John Campbell and Shai Hope both scoring centuries. Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah claimed three wickets each as West Indies were eventually bowled out for 390 in the final session. The visitors had collapsed from 212/2 to 311/9, but a determined 79-run last-wicket stand between Justin Greaves (50*) and Jayden Seales (32) frustrated India around the tea interval. Bumrah (3/44) finally ended the innings by dismissing Seales.

West Indies delivered their best batting performance of the tour, led by centuries from opener John Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103), who shared a 177-run partnership for the third wicket to anchor their strong response.
