HWC 2018: Govt announces holiday for educational institutions in Bhubaneswar tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Schools and other educational institutions will remain closed tomorrow in Bhubaneswar in view of the inaugural event of the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 at Kalinga Stadium. A notification in this regard was issued by the Chief Minister office (CMO) today.

The government has also decided to close all government offices across the State from 1.30 PM on November 27.

Similarly, schools, educational institutions and government offices in Cuttack will remain functional till half-day i.e. 1.30 PM for the World Cup celebration event at Barabati Stadium on November 28, further read the notification.

It may be noted that music maestro and Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Bahubali fame actor Prabhas along with other celebrities are expected to perform live during the inaugural and world cup celebration event at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, respectively.
