At an age when most teenagers are still learning the basics of the game, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is already dominating bowlers across continents. The 14-year-old batting prodigy has rapidly turned heads in the cricketing fraternity, not through fleeting flashes of brilliance but via an extraordinary run of sustained performances in junior and domestic cricket.

Suryavanshi’s meteoric rise has been fuelled by a rare blend of fearlessness and control. Leading the Indian Under-19 side for the first time, Suryavanshi marked the occasion in emphatic style during the final Youth ODI against South Africa. The captain produced a dazzling 127 off just 74 balls, an innings studded with 10 towering sixes and nine boundaries, dismantling the Proteas attack and sealing the series on a high.
