This could potentially delay or even wash out the opening match, leaving fans disappointed and the Indian management anxious.

The Men in Blue are slated to play three ODIs against Australia starting October 19, followed by a T20I series. If the rain gods don’t cooperate, the long-awaited return of Rohit and Virat might have to wait just a little longer.
