Cricket fever is soaring high as Team India gears up for its much-awaited tour of Australia for a thrilling ODI and T20I series. The excitement isn’t just about the iconic India-Australia rivalry; it’s the return of cricketing giants Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli that has fans counting the days.
The dynamic duo, fondly called ‘Ro-Ko’, were earlier expected to return during the Bangladesh tour. However, that series was scrapped due to political tensions. Now, just when fans thought the wait was finally over, fresh concerns threaten to delay their comeback once again.

Weather May Play Spoilsport in Perth
According to forecasts from AccuWeather and BBC Weather, heavy showers are predicted in Perth on October 18 night and the morning of October 19, the scheduled date of the first ODI. This could potentially delay or even wash out the opening match, leaving fans disappointed and the Indian management anxious.
The Men in Blue are slated to play three ODIs against Australia starting October 19, followed by a T20I series. If the rain gods don’t cooperate, the long-awaited return of Rohit and Virat might have to wait just a little longer.
Gearing Up for a Busy Season Ahead
Before facing Australia, both stalwarts are expected to feature in a few Vijay Hazare Trophy matches later this year to regain match rhythm. The duo last donned the Indian jersey during the Champions Trophy 2025, where India triumphed over New Zealand in the final.
Rohit’s captain’s knock of 76 runs and Kohli’s crucial 84 in the semifinal remain fresh in fans’ memories, and all eyes are now on their long-awaited reunion Down Under.
