In a clinical performance against Namibia during the T20 World Cup 2026, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan created a new record.
By delivering a masterclass, Kishan surpassed benchmarks previously set by legendary figures MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant, becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper to achieve a unique milestone in the tournament's history.
During the Group A match against Namibia, Kishan's quickfire 61 off just 24 balls shattered the highest total record.
The previous top score by an Indian wicketkeeper-batter in a T20 World Cup belonged to MS Dhoni, who had slammed 45 off 33 balls against South Africa in 2007.
