Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BBCI) will declare squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy today after the Supreme Court-appointed committed warned the Indian cricket board not to pull out of the tournament.

The decision to take part in the eight-nation event, commencing from June 1, came after a special board meeting held here on Sunday.

Earlier during an ICC meeting, BCCI had warned to pullout from the Champions Trophy citing protest against majority members for not approving its demand for more revenue.

But, the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) asked the BCCI to announce a team for the upcoming event immediately despite the standoff with the ICC.

Meanwhile, after confirmation of participation, the defending champions India will look forward to retain its crown.
