Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today announced the domestic schedule for India’s cricket season 2019-20. The season starts with the Duleep Trophy in August.

It is then followed by a month-long Vijay Hazare Trophy starting from September 24. The Deodhar Trophy will be played from October 31 to November 4. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will start from November 8 and the final match will be played on December 1.

The Ranji Trophy will be played from December 9, 2019 to March 13, 2020. The format of the tournament remains same to that of the last season, wherein the top team that qualifies for quarter-finals from the Plate group will be promoted to Elite Group C in the next season. The top two teams that qualify for the quarter-finals from Elite Group C will be promoted to Elite Group A & Elite Group B in the next season.

The senior women's domestic season will commence with the T20 League that is scheduled to start from October 14.

The Col C K Nayudu Trophy, Vinoo Mankad Trophy, Cooch Behar Trophy, Vijay Merchant Trophy and Vizzy Trophy (Inter-university competition) will also be held during the season.

A total of 2,036 domestic games will be played this season across various age groups in the men’s and women’s category.
