San Francisco: Popular photo-messaging app Snapchat suffered a major outage on Monday, with users saying they were unable to send snaps to their friends and family members.

At least 15,000 people reported the outage on DownDetector.com, with issues largely affecting the US, Canada and Europe.

Netizens took to Twitter to react to the Snapchat issues, with an outpouring of memes.

"Me on my bed waiting for snapchat to start working again #snapchatdown," a user wrote.

"Everyone coming to twitter to make sure it's not just their snapchat that's down #snapchatdown," another user tweeted.

Some, however, reported they could still send messages.

In May, users in Europe and some parts of the US reported that te popular photo-messaging app stopped working for them.

Instead of showing the usual filters and lenses or the ability to send messages, Snapchat simply failed to load.

Snapchat's parent company Snap was yet to issue a statement on why this happened again or resolve the issue.
