Several Indian junior boxers, including Vini, Yakshika and Vidhi, put up brilliant performances to claim gold medals in their respective weight categories at the 2022 ASBC Asian Youth and Junior Boxing Championships in Amman, Jordan. The Indian junior team finished their campaign in second position at the prestigious continental tournament bagging eight gold, seven silver and six bronze medals.

In the 75kg category, Indian boxer Muskan (in blue) produced an aggressive show against Kazakhstan’s Aidasaribarova. The referee had to stop the contest after initial few minutes in the first round and declare Muskan as the winner after her opponent conceded heavy blows on her face.
