Smiles and celebrations erupted in the students' circle as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams held in April-May this year. This is the first time that the CBSE has announced both class 10 and 12 results on the same day.
Students jump in joy as most of them have 'secured marks more than they had anticipated'.

This year, 94.40% of students cleared the Class 10 exam with girls outperforming boys by a margin of 1.41 per cent.
Even in the Class 12 exams, girls have outperformed boys this year. 94.54% of girls have passed the exam in comparison to 91.25% boys.
Teachers also joined the celebrations by distributing sweets among the students.
While overall pass percentage in Class 12 exams stood at 92.71; as many as 33432 students have secured more than 95% marks this year.
Bhubaneswar has recorded an overall pass percentage of 90.37%, yet it stood in the 13th position in Class 12 exams. Trivandrum region has recorded the highest pass percentage of 98.83% followed by Bengaluru (98.16%) and Chennai (97.79%).
