Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg reviewed the arrangements for the smooth and transparent conduct of the upcoming Matriculation and Plus Two examinations, terming them as critical milestones in the academic journey of students.
Stressing the need for error-free examination management, the Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure strict supervision and maintain zero tolerance for negligence at any stage of the examination process.
During the high-level review meeting, emphasis was placed on preparedness at examination centres, security measures, and robust checking mechanisms to prevent any irregularities. Officials were instructed to ensure adequate infrastructure, sufficient deployment of manpower, and seamless coordination among departments to uphold discipline and transparency throughout the examinations. Clear directions were issued that any lapse or dereliction of duty would invite strict action.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from relevant departments, along with all district collectors and superintendents of police, underscoring the state government’s coordinated approach to conducting the examinations smoothly across Odisha.
According to officials, more than five lakh students are expected to appear for the Matriculation examination, scheduled to commence on February 19. Nearly four lakh students will take the Plus Two examinations, which are set to begin on February 18.
