A youth was killed and two others sustained serious injuries following a violent clash triggered by a land dispute in Narilo village under the jurisdiction of Kendrapara Sadar police station on Saturday night. According to information, tensions resurfaced on Saturday evening when Rajkishore Ojha allegedly entered into an argument with his nephew Upendra over the dispute. The verbal altercation gradually intensified, eventually turning into a violent confrontation.
Assault Following Family Dispute
Police sources said Rajkishore Ojha, along with his wife and son, allegedly attacked Upendra in a coordinated manner using various weapons. During the assault, Rajkishore reportedly struck Upendra with a crowbar, causing grievous injuries. Upendra’s parents, Sanjukta and Saroj Kanta, were also seriously injured in the attack.
All three injured persons were immediately shifted to a hospital. However, despite medical intervention, Upendra succumbed to his injuries later that night while undergoing treatment at the hospital, as sources said.
