Youth kidnapped near Konark petrol pump, police probe on

In a shocking incident, a youth has reportedly been abducted from a car close to a petrol pump. The incident occurred near Banakhandi on the main road of Konark Nimapada area. According to reports, yesterday evening, a youth named Joy Chakraborty was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Konark along with his friend in a car. 

While returning to Bhubaneswar at night, near the HP petrol pump at Banakhandi Chowk, two youths, reportedly in a car that had been following them, allegedly abducted Joy Chakraborty.

Both the Konark police and the Additional SP of Puri district are actively investigating the incident. Initial reports suggest that the abduction may be related to a financial transaction, though the exact motive and identities of the perpetrators remain unclear.

Police have not yet released any official statement regarding the incident. Locals have expressed concern over safety on the main road, especially late at night. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the victim to come forward and assist the investigation. The police have increased patrolling in the area to prevent any further such incidents.
