Bhubaneswar: She is just five-year-old, but her passion for fashion is unparalleled. Divyashree Debasish Behera of Puri district in Odisha has brought laurels for the State by winning two titles at the World Rising Stars 2020 in Georgia.

Divyashree defeated contestants from 12 countries, who were in the race in the international contest, and adjudged Top Model-2020. She also won award in the best National Costume-2020 category. With this, Divyashree has become the first ever Indian to win these international titles.

While Divyashree’s interest for fashion designing from such an early age has taken all by surprise, the five-year-old girl also won the hearts of the selectors at the contest organised by Walk For International Designer Brand.

According to sources, Divyashree’s parents are IT professionals and live in Bangalore. They taught her fashion designing, costume designing, dancing and singing.

Apart from having a keen interest in fashion designing, Divyashree is also a good Odissi dancer, said her mother. The proud mother now wants her daughter to participate in world-level ramp contest and win miss universe title in future.

“Dancing, singing and modelling are my hobbies,” said the little girl while expressing her happiness after winning the titles. The little girl also gave a big and beautiful message: “Life is too small and we need to help everyone. We should not fight.”

Recently, another girl from Odisha made the State proud by winning the IAWA Super Model 2020 title. Dipti Jyoti Pattanaik of Dhenkanal district, who is a software engineer by profession, overcame strong competition from 30 contestants and was crowned after she got the maximum online votes from audience.

Padma Shri awardee Ashok Gupta and IAWA Chairman Daljit Kaur conferred her with the crown during the grand finale of the national beauty pageant held in Mumbai on January 31, 2020.
