Woman’s body placed outside lover’s house in Odisha, family stages protest

Tension gripped Sabuliya village under Rambha police limits in Ganjam district after the family of a young woman staged a dramatic protest by placing her dead body outside her lover’s house on Sunday. According to reports, the young woman allegedly lost her life due to issues related to her romantic relationship.

The family alleges that the woman lost her life due to harassment by her lover’s family, prompting them to demand justice. 

Family Accuses Lover’s Side of Harassment

According to the woman’s family, she had been in a relationship with a youth from the same village. Although their marriage was fixed four months ago, the family claims the girl was being harassed and mentally tortured by her fiancé’s relatives.

Following the young woman’s death, her family alleged foul play and accused the lover’s family of being responsible for pushing her into extreme distress.

Protest Outside Lover’s House

With the accused family members reportedly absconding, the woman’s relatives placed her body in front of the lover’s house and staged a sit-in protest, demanding immediate action and justice for their daughter.
