Woman Tonsured, Paraded Over 'Extramarital Affair' In Odisha Village

Balasore: A married woman was tonsured and paraded in Sanakaliapada village under Nilagiri Police limits in Balasore on Wednesday night, informed a police officer.

As per reports, the 25-year-old woman was tonsured and paraded for allegedly having an extramarital affair with her brother-in-law. Police have detained six persons, including two women in connection with the incident after the victim's father lodged a complaint.

"The woman was also taken to a nearby forest and left there. She returned home later. All the accused are relatives of the victim and all of them are residents of the same village," the police officer said.
