Woman presumed dead stuns police by waking up in Boudh

In a bizarre turn of events, a woman presumed dead suddenly came back to life, leaving police officials in shock in Boudh district.

The incident took place at Girasinga village in the district, where Lakshmipriya Nayak had been reported missing two days earlier by her husband. After an extensive search, police found her unconscious near her house.

Believing she was dead, some police officials reportedly kept vigil over her body throughout the night. However, to everyone’s astonishment, Lakshmipriya suddenly woke up and sat upright. The on-duty police officials were left stunned at the sight.

Doctors later confirmed that she was completely healthy, and police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As per sources, Lakshmipriya had a heated argument with her husband following which she lost consciousness. Following the development, the husband hid her under garbage and lodged a missing complaint at the local police station.

After a search operation, police found Lakshmipriya in an unconscious state near her house. Following the development, police suspected that the woman had been murdered. Police thought Lakshmipriya to be dead, and some officials guarded her throughout the night. However, when the scientific team visited the spot in the morning, Lakshmipriya suddenly woke up to the utter shock of the police. She was immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital and provided treatment.

The incident has sparked sharp reactions among the people in the area. Questions were raised over the efficiency of the police in how they could presume a living woman dead without a proper test.

Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
