Woman found dead under suspicious circumstances in Balasore; family alleges dowry harassment

Tension prevailed in Balasore district on Monday following the suspicious death of a woman under the jurisdiction of Khaira police station. The deceased has been identified as Lusi, daughter of Baburam Dehuri. Her death has triggered shock and anger in the locality, with serious allegations being raised by her family.

The deceased woman was a resident of Padiaripalli village under the Soso police station in Keonjhar district.

According to family members of the deceased, Lusi was allegedly subjected to dowry demands by her in-laws, which they claim led to her untimely death. The family has accused the in-laws of harassment, alleging that dowry pressure was the sole reason behind the incident.
