VISWASS School and College of Nursing students take pledge of compassion and care

The oath-taking ceremony of the first-year GNM and B.Sc. Nursing students of VISWASS School and College of Nursing in Bhubaneswar was held on Thursday in a solemn atmosphere at the Multipurpose Hall.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a group song. Principal Prof. Satyabhama Mishra delivered the welcome address and extended greetings to the guests and students.

On the occasion,. Monalisha Panda, Nursing Superintendent of Utkal Hospital, Bhubaneswar, spoke about the purpose and significance of the nursing oath. She urged the students to serve patients with professional ethics, compassion and a strong sense of responsibility. She then administered the oath to the students.

Chief Guest Dr. A.K. Bahinipati, Principal of VISWASS Paramedical College, appreciated the students for choosing the nursing profession and highlighted the institution’s quality educational facilities.

The programme concluded successfully under the guidance of Secretary Dr. Nandini Gharai and Chairman Dr. Pragyan Ranjan Gharai. The event ended with the felicitation of guests and a vote of thanks.
