Speaking about his success, he said, "I am very happy, and very grateful. I would describe my experience with these two emotions: happiness and gratitude. I prepared with consistency. If I decided to study five to six hours a day, I would study for five to six hours. It's not like I studied for five to six hours continuously for a year. There were days when I took breaks. There was a proper balance between breaks and studies. Thankfully, that balance worked very well for me, and I achieved success. When I qualified for the Odisha Administrative Service, I was working with MPs in Delhi. I was assisting them with their parliamentary duties, research, and legislative work. I felt that at that time, it was a platform where I could serve people better, and my skills and aptitude would be utilized more effectively," he said.

"That's why I did not join OES. It was not an easy decision. The effort will always remain the same, regardless of the place, post, or service. That is not in my hands. But wherever I am, in whatever state, in whatever position, I will give 110% commitment and dedication. I hope that if you ask me the same question ten years from now, I can answer it with even more confidence. Thank you," he concluded UPSC 121st rank holder Amrit Mohapatra.

Family Support Behind the Success

Amrit’s mother described him as a disciplined child who maintained consistency in his studies from a young age. According to her, his dedication and the blessings of well-wishers played an important role in his achievement.

"My children have been disciplined since childhood. Both of them are disciplined. Consistency in studies was always his core principle. He would study every day and continue studying the next day and the day after. He would answer all questions, and everyone's blessings were with him," Amrit's mother said.

Conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Civil Services Examination is one of the most prestigious and competitive recruitment tests in India. The commission announced the final results on Friday, revealing that 958 candidates have successfully qualified after clearing the rigorous multi-stage selection process.

Commitment to Public Service

Despite the challenges of the journey, Amrit remains focused on serving people with complete dedication wherever he is posted. His story stands as a powerful inspiration for young aspirants in Odisha, proving that perseverance, discipline, and belief in one’s goals can turn dreams into reality.
