Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on a two-day official tour beginning March 5, during which he will participate in a series of government programmes across the state.
According to the itinerary, Shah will arrive at the Bhubaneswar airport on the evening of March 5. His official engagements will commence on March 6 with his participation in key events in Cuttack, Jatani and Bhubaneswar.
CISF Raising Day Event in Cuttack
On the morning of March 6, the Union Home Minister will attend the CISF Raising Day programme at Mundali in Cuttack. The event marks the foundation day of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and is observed annually with ceremonial proceedings and official addresses.
Foundation Ceremonies and Inaugurations
In the afternoon, Shah is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory campus at Jatani. He will also virtually inaugurate the NFSU transit campus.
Later in the day, he will inaugurate the Naveen Nyaya Samhita exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground. The programme will also include the laying of foundation stones and the inauguration of projects related to the Cooperation Department and other departments.
Preparations Reviewed
Extensive administrative and security arrangements have been made in view of the Union Minister’s visit. A preparatory meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary was held to review the arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the scheduled programmes.
Officials said all necessary coordination measures are being undertaken to facilitate the visit.
