Angered by the lack of communication and mounting uncertainty, Police SI aspirants have now taken to the streets. Today, they continued their sit-in protest (Dharna) on Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar, demanding immediate clarification and a concrete timeline for the examination and recruitment process.

The protest reflects growing dissatisfaction among candidates who have been preparing for years and are now seeking assurance from the authorities regarding their future prospects.

“We have been preparing for the (Odisha Police SI Recruitment) exam for more than a year and a half, but we are not sure when our exam dates will be announced. I am a fresher, and this would be my first attempt to get a job. How long will the State government keep consoling us, and how long will we have to wait?” a female agitator questioned.

“Let the CBI probe take its course, but the (police SI recruitment) exam must be conducted in a transparent manner,” the female agitator said while speaking to OTV.

“The Government has not yet taken any decision with regard to the exam. However, we appeal to the State government to announce a date at the earliest. Can we run and appear the physical test at an older age to get a job?” another female agitator stated.
