Three killed, one critical as speeding Thar SUV crashes into trailer truck on Bhubaneswar outskirts

Reckless driving once again made headlines after a tragic road accident on National Highway-16 near Gangapada, close to Bhubaneswar, on Wednesday. A speeding Thar SUV carrying four youths rammed into the rear of a trailer truck near the Gangapada toll gate, resulting in a devastating collision.

According to preliminary reports, the Thar was moving at a very high speed when it crashed into the slow-moving truck, causing a violent impact. Three youths died on the spot due to the severity of the accident, while another sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed for medical treatment. 

The injured youth was later shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where his condition remains critical. The deceased and injured youths are reportedly residents of the Madanpur area under Jatni block, though their identities are yet to be officially confirmed.

The brand-new Thar vehicle was completely damaged in the crash, leaving debris scattered across the highway. Eyewitnesses said the SUV was being driven at such a high speed that an accident appeared imminent.
