The incident has also raised questions about the school’s internal monitoring and security arrangements, particularly how the students managed to leave the premises unnoticed. Authorities are expected to examine these aspects as part of the inquiry, even as the primary focus remains on ensuring the safe return of the missing schoolgirls.

Students Rescued Later

Following the incident, the three missing schoolgirls were traced and rescued. The Class III students were found in a hut located about two to three kilometres from the school premises.

Acting on inputs from local residents, Borigumma police reached the spot and safely rescued the girls. During preliminary inquiry, it was found that after being dropped off at the school by their parents, the students followed them off campus. They later lost their way, which resulted in their disappearance.
