A hyva truck rammed into an auto rickshaw in front of Jaleswar Town High School on Thursday morning, leaving three people critically injured. The auto, carrying four passengers, was heading towards Jaleswar station when the sand-laden truck struck it with force. The impact completely crushed the auto, prompting locals at the scene to rush the injured to medical help.
The three seriously hurt victims have since been shifted to the main hospital in Balasore for urgent care. Initial reports indicate that all of those critically injured are residents of West Bengal. Tension and agitation were observed at the accident site as bystanders gathered following the crash.
Police Probes into the Matter
Police reached the scene quickly and are now conducting a detailed investigation into the incident, including reviewing CCTV footage to establish the exact sequence of events and identify possible causes.

Concerns Over Unlicensed Vehicles and Sand Load
Preliminary information suggests that the Hyva truck involved in the collision may have been operating without proper licences or documentation, and was carrying a large amount of sand at the time of the crash. Nothing has been confirmed yet, and authorities are working to clarify these details as part of their inquiry.
Traffic on the busy road was briefly disrupted due to the accident, but normal movement has since resumed. Police continue to question witnesses and gather evidence to determine whether violations related to vehicle licensing and haulage regulations contributed to the crash.
