Three children have gone missing from different parts of Bhubaneswar within a span of 24 hours, prompting the Commissionerate Police to launch an investigation and announce a reward for information leading to their whereabouts.
A 12-year-old boy, Pradyumna Pradhan, has gone missing from the Dhauli area, while two girls, Sumitra Dehuri and Shubhashree Nayak, have been reported missing from Salia Sahi.
Police have declared a reward of Rs 25,000 for anyone who provides information about the missing children.
Details Of Missing Children
According to reports, Pradyumna Pradhan was last seen riding a bicycle and carrying a bag. He is a Class 6 student.
The other two missing children, Sumitra Dehuri and Shubhashree Nayak, were reported missing from Salia Sahi. Further details regarding the circumstances of their disappearance have not been disclosed.
Police Investigation Underway
Police officials from Nayapalli and Dhauli police stations said that an investigation was launched after family members of the children lodged complaints regarding their disappearance.
As part of the probe, police have collected details from the family members regarding the children’s recent movements, including who they may have met and places they may have visited in the past few days.
Officials said the investigation is also examining whether the incidents could be linked to kidnapping.
Police teams are analysing CCTV footage from nearby areas and questioning neighbours while attempting to retrace the recent activities of the children.
Authorities are also examining whether similar incidents have occurred earlier and if there could be any possible connection between them.
