Speeding luxury car rams into police patrolling van in Bhubaneswar, several injured

Bhubaneswar witnessed yet another late-night accident involving a luxury car, after a speeding vehicle rammed into a police patrolling van, leaving the car badly damaged and some police personnel and the lady driver of the car injured. The incident took place at Acharya Vihar Square in the capital city.

According to reports, a police patrolling vehicle was stationed at Acharya Vihar Square as part of routine night duty. The vehicle was occupied by a PCR team along with an officer from Balianta police station. At that time, a black luxury car, being driven at high speed, reportedly lost control and crashed directly into the police patrolling van.

The impact of the collision was so severe, causing extensive damage to the front portion of the car. The car driver, along with police personnel present in the patrolling van, sustained injuries in the accident. The injured were immediately rushed to Capital Hospital, where they were provided medical treatment.

Following the incident, the driver of the Balianta police station officer lodged a complaint at the Saheed Nagar police station. The woman driver of the car was questioned by the police in connection with the accident and later released.

Police are continuing to examine the circumstances under which the accident occurred. Initial indications point to loss of balance due to over-speeding as the primary cause of the collision. Further investigation is underway to ascertain all details related to the incident.
