Shreemayee Mishra hints at ‘Rajya Sabha deal’ as BJD suspends two MLAs

Following the suspension of two MLAs, former party leader Shreemayee Mishra on Thursday targeted the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

In a post on social media, Shreemayee wrote, “After Nuapada, the Rajya Sabha deal has begun.” Using the phrase “samajhdaar ko ishaara kaafi (A hint is enough for the wise),” she made a sarcastic remark, hinting at alleged developments within the BJD.

Shreemayee's post is being seen as an indication that some kind of deal-making is taking place within the BJD ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections. However, she has not provided any clear information about who is allegedly involved in such a deal.

Notably, BJD suspended MLAs Arvind Mohapatra and Sanatan Mahakud with immediate effect. Both leaders have been suspended for alleged anti-party activities.

As per BJD sources, Champua MLA Sanatan Mahakud was inclined towards the BJP, and he was openly expressing his resentment against the BJD. Patkura MLA Arvind Mohapatra was allegedly involved in anti-party activities in his constituency.

However, in response to the suspension order, both Arvind Mohapatra and Sanatan Mahakud stated that they are not involved in any kind of anti-party activities. They also claimed that they have not given any kinds of statements against the party and the party supremo.
