Sex racket operating in broad daylight! Highway-side hotel owner caught negotiating deals

An alleged sex racket, reportedly operating openly in broad daylight at a hotel located along National Highway-16 under Khantapada police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district, has raised serious concerns about law enforcement in the area, especially after a purported video related to the incident surfaced on social media.

According to sources, the hotel in question is situated just one-and-a-half to two kilometres from the Khantapada police station. Despite its close proximity to the police outpost, illegal activities are allegedly being carried out with impunity. The video reportedly shows young women and female sex workers being housed at the hotel, while the hotel owner is accused of negotiating deals with customers.

Shockingly, the hotel is not an isolated case. Several other hotels in the surrounding area along the national highway are also suspected of running similar illegal operations. Locals allege that such activities have been going on for a long time without any effective intervention from the authorities.

The matter came to the fore after a video of one of the hotel owners negotiating with customers went viral. The video has now sparked public outrage, with citizens questioning how such unlawful activities could continue unchecked so close to a police station.

Attempts to obtain an official response from the police regarding the allegations have so far been unsuccessful. No formal statement has been issued, nor has any immediate action been reported at the time of filing this report.
