Sand artist Manas Sahu creates sand animation to welcome President Droupadi Murmu in Puri

Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s Odisha visit, her scheduled journey to Puri has found a unique artistic expression through a sand animation, created by international sand animator Manas Sahu. As part of the visit, the honourable President will perform Pindadaan at Swetaganga and offer prayers to the Chaturdhamurti at the Jagannath Temple in Puri.

Artistic Tribute in Sand

Marking the occasion, international sand animator Manas Sahu has beautifully depicted the President’s Puri visit through an intricate sand animation. The artwork captures key moments of her arrival and religious rituals with fine detail and precision.

According to the artist, it took nearly two hours to complete the sand animation. Through his creation, Manas Sahu has extended a warm welcome to the President with the message “Welcome to Puri,” blending art with devotion and respect.

“From the sacred soil of Mahaprabhu Jagannath Dham, we have created a sand animation for President Droupadi Murmu with the message ‘Welcome to Odisha, Welcome to Puri’. The artwork features a sculpture of the Jagannath Temple and a portrait of the President. We hope she appreciates the sand animation and the effort behind it,” said international sand artist Manas Sahu.

The sand animation stands as a graceful artistic tribute to President Droupadi Murmu’s visit, reflecting Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and the deep spiritual significance of Puri, while offering a unique and heartfelt welcome through creative expression.
