Puri Srimandir / Justice Bishwanath Rath
Justice Bishwanath Rath, chairman of the Puri Srimandir Ratna Bhandar inspection committee, on Wednesday said that a key meeting related to the Ratna Bhandar (treasure trove) will be held on December 27.
Justice Rath informed that the major repair work at the Ratna Bhandar has been completed and the ornaments have been fully shifted from the temporary chamber.
He further said discussions will focus on preparing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the inventory and counting process.
'Detailed Guidelines In Upcoming Meeting'
“We want to complete the counting programme by January, and detailed guidelines will be drawn up in the upcoming meeting,” he said.
Justice Rath also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation extended by Lord Jagannath devotees during the restoration work.
Addressing the inventory process, he confirmed that the 1978 inventory list will be used as a reference and verified during the counting and tallying exercise inside the vault.
The committee is expected to finalise procedures that will ensure transparency and accuracy in documenting the treasures of the shrine.
