President Droupadi Murmu to visit Odisha on February 2

President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is scheduled to arrive in Odisha on February 2 for a five-day visit to the state, during which she will participate in a series of official, cultural, and religious engagements. One of the key highlights of her visit will be her stop in Jajpur district on February 3, where she will offer prayers at the revered Maa Biraja Temple, a prominent Shakti Peetha and an important spiritual centre of the region.

Ahead of the President’s visit, the Jajpur district administration, in coordination with temple authorities, has begun extensive preparations to ensure a grand reception and seamless conduct of the programme. Reports indicate that the temple premises are being meticulously beautified, with special focus on cleanliness, decorations, and crowd management. In addition, elaborate security arrangements are being put in place to ensure the safety of the President during her visit, with multiple layers of protection and tight monitoring along the entire route.

As per the official schedule, President Murmu will land at the administrative ground in Jajpur by aircraft at around 9:30 am on February 3. From there, she will travel by road to the Maa Biraja Temple under tight security arrangements. Between 10:00 am and 11:30 am, the President will offer prayers at the temple and perform traditional rituals. She is also scheduled to offer pinda daan for her ancestors at the sacred Nabhigaya site, which holds deep religious significance for devotees.

Following the completion of her engagements, President Murmu is expected to depart from Jajpur at around 11:40 am. The visit has generated considerable enthusiasm among locals, who view it as a moment of pride and spiritual significance for the district.
