BJP leaders and party workers gathered at the state office and marked the festival by applying colours to one another. Extending greetings to the people of the State, Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal wished everyone a joyful and colourful Holi.

The celebrations witnessed active participation from the party members, creating a festive atmosphere at the headquarters.

Similarly, the youth wing of BJD celebrated Holi at Sankha Bhawan in the State Capital, the party’s state headquarters. Leaders and members played with colours and Abira, observing the festival with grandeur and enthusiasm.

Likewise, the festival of colours, Holi, was celebrated with enthusiasm at Congress Bhawan in the Capital City as party leaders and workers immersed themselves in the festivities. Senior leaders such as PCC chief Bhakta Das and Suresh Routray were present.

“Holi is a festival of joy, affection, and love. When this coloured powder (Abira) is applied to the face or body, it creates a sense of intimacy, brotherhood, camaraderie, and love. Lord Krishna had played this with Radha. In the Tretaya Yuga, after Ravana was killed, many demonesses saw Lord Rama’s beautiful face and expressed their desire to marry him. He told them it was not possible at that time, but in the Dwapara Yuga, they would be born as his companions (Sakhis). He promised to be born as Shri Krishna and fulfil their wishes by playing with them, and Radha,” Suresh Routray said while speaking to the media.

“This festival is a celebration of that love, affection, and devotion. Our party workers are very enthusiastic, dancing and singing while playing Holi. We are involving ourselves in every festival. The Student Congress, Youth Congress, Women's Congress, and Seva Dal—all have come together and are working with great fervour,” the Congress leader added.
