Pharmaceutical company manager stabbed to death in Odisha

A manager of a pharmaceutical company was allegedly stabbed to death in the Civil Township area under the Raghunathpali police station limits in Odisha's Rourkela on Saturday. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagirathi Sahu of Bhubaneswar. He had travelled from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela on Friday evening. It was alleged that unidentified miscreants committed the murder and fled the scene.

Body Found At Crime Scene

According to reports, Sahu’s body was found lying in a pool of blood at the crime scene at the time of reporting. His family members were on their way to Rourkela and were expected to arrive in the evening. The post-mortem examination will be conducted after the family arrives.

Police have picked up a friend who was staying with the deceased for questioning as part of the investigation. Officials are examining all possible angles in connection with the case.

Probe Underway Into Motive

It is suspected that Sahu may have been killed over monetary issues, though the exact motive behind the crime is yet to be established. Police are investigating who committed the murder and the circumstances leading to the incident.
