Patha Utsav turns Jagamara new road into cultural hub in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Jagamara New Road in the Odisha capital came alive on Sunday as the Patha Utsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm, transforming the stretch into a vibrant cultural and recreational space.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) organised the second edition of Patha Utsav this year, drawing a large number of residents from different parts of the city.

Despite the chilly morning, Bhubaneswar witnessed energetic performances featuring dance, music, and vibrant celebrations. Odissi and contemporary dance performances enthralled the audience, while young participants gathered at a second stage to dance to DJ music. The entire stretch of Jagamara New Road was adorned with colourful rangoli designs, adding to the festive atmosphere.

In addition to dance and music, participants actively engaged in yoga sessions, skating, games, street plays, and traditional dance performances. The road remained abuzz with continuous cultural and recreational activities, creating a unique blend of fitness, art, and entertainment.

Families, children, and young people participated together, making the event a platform for community bonding. Several residents welcomed the initiative, saying it promoted healthy lifestyles while offering local talent an opportunity to showcase their skills.

Organised by the BMC, Patha Utsav aims to encourage public engagement, cultural expression, and social harmony. The successful celebration at Jagamara New Road once again demonstrated how Bhubaneswar’s streets can be transformed into lively public spaces filled with creativity, energy, and unity.
