Direct Benefit Transfer Helped Reduce Delays

The programme has seen consistent progress, with periodic rounds of payouts reaching women in both urban and rural areas. Officials say the automation of the disbursement process through Direct Benefit Transfer has helped reduce delays and ensure transparency.

The upcoming release to more than one crore beneficiaries will mark one of the largest rollouts under the scheme so far. “This is a significant step in empowering women and supporting their financial independence,” said an official.

Authorities have also been working closely with local administrations to ensure that eligible women who had faced challenges in earlier rounds are now included. The government’s focus remains on clearing pending cases and addressing grievances raised by applicants.
