OPSC Civil Services 2023 result out: Male candidates dominate top 10, only 1 female in list

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the final results of the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2023 under Advertisement No. 20 of 2023-24. According to the notification, a total of 398 candidates, including 144 women, have been recommended for appointment to various posts and services under the Odisha Civil Services (Group A & B).

The results are based on the Main (Written) Examination held between April 19 and May 15, 2025, followed by the Personality Test conducted from September 6 to September 18, 2025.

Priyanshu Pal has emerged as the topper, claiming the first position with outstanding performance. Close behind, Ananya Mishra has secured the second rank, showcasing remarkable excellence, with Sovan Pattanaik as the third topper in the competitive exam.

Interestingly, boys have dominated the top 10 list with just one female candidate, Ananya Mishra, in the list. The rest nine candidates are boys, including Priyanshu Pal, followed by Sovan Pattanaik in third place, Mirza Faiz Ahmed Quadri in fourth, Chinmaya Sahu in fifth, Antim Swain in sixth, Shailesh Kumar Bhoi in seventh, Mohommad Nazif Hatif in eighth, Chinmaya Kumar Padhi in ninth, and Milan Mohapatra in tenth position.

The Commission has clarified that the candidature of the selected candidates remains provisional, subject to verification of original documents by the concerned Appointing Authorities. Moreover, one unreserved post has not been filled in compliance with an order of the Orissa High Court dated September 9, 2025.
