Two young gymnasts from Odisha, Manaswi Jena and Riyanshi Pattanaik, have brought laurels by being part of the gold medal-winning team in the Gymnastics Aerobics event at the recently concluded Dasera CM Cup Sports Meet – 2025, held at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Mysore.

Both Jena and Pattanaik also represented Karnataka Gymnastics Association in the Under-19 girls’ group category, where they emerged as champions. Their team further added to the tally by securing the bronze medal for Karnataka in the Aerobic Gymnastics National Championship 2025–2026, hosted at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kochi.

Individual Achievement for Manaswi

Apart from her group success, Manaswi Jena represented her school, New Horizon Gurukul, in the CBSE National Aerobics Championship 2025 held at Shirdi earlier this month. She put up a commendable performance, finishing 5th in the under-19 girls’ individual category.

Dedication to Grandfathers

Expressing gratitude, Manaswi dedicated her medals to her late grandfathers. Niranjan Jena, a renowned educationist from Aul, Kendrapara, and Dr Bhagirathi Nayak, a medicine and public health specialist from Gautam Nagar, Bhubaneswar, were remembered fondly by her for their inspiration and blessings.
