Odisha’s pride & international woman cricketer Rasanara Parwin announces retirement

Odisha’s pride and international women's cricketer Rasanara Parwin on Friday officially announced her retirement from professional cricket. Speaking exclusively to OTV, Rasanara confirmed her decision and reflected on her journey that marked a historic chapter in Odisha’s cricketing landscape.

Rasanara created history by becoming the first woman cricketer from Odisha to be selected in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup, bringing immense pride to the state.

The Indian cricketer, who played as a right-arm off-break bowler, made her international debut for the India national women's cricket team in the 2013 Women's Cricket World Cup against the West Indies.

She was also a member of India’s champion team in the 2012 Asia Cup, an achievement she considers one of the most memorable moments of her career.
