Odisha youth visits girlfriend, found dead; family alleges murder

In a shocking and mysterious incident, a young man died under suspicious circumstances while visiting his girlfriend’s house in Dhenkanal district of Odisha, sparking outrage and allegations of foul play.

The deceased has been identified as Biswajit Behera, a resident of Similia village. According to initial reports, Biswajit had gone to meet his girlfriend when the tragic incident occurred. It is alleged that he came in contact with a live electric wire while attempting to enter the house through the backyard.

Following the incident, the girl’s family members immediately rushed him to the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.

However, Biswajit’s family has outrightly rejected the theory of accidental electrocution. They claim that he was murdered in cold blood, and the scene was later manipulated to look like an accident. His father, Nagen Behera, expressed deep suspicion over the circumstances surrounding his son’s death.

“I don’t know anything about the matter. I was informed in the evening that my son had been electrocuted. When I reached the spot, I saw his bike parked on the roadside and his body lying in a field with an electric wire placed over him. We immediately took him to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead. He has been murdered. We demand justice,” said Nagen Behera.

Meanwhile, local police have registered a case and launched a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind Biswajit’s untimely death.
