The high-level meeting aims to strengthen coordination between the administrative and police departments for effective governance and law enforcement across the State.

The General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) department has issued letters to all Revenue Divisional Commissioners (RDCs) and District Collectors, informing them about the schedule and agenda of the conference.

The discussions at the meeting are expected to cover public service delivery, law and order, revenue administration, and inter-departmental coordination.

This annual exercise serves as a platform for reviewing field-level performance and chalking out strategies to improve efficiency in governance and public response mechanisms.

A detailed schedule of the conferences will be communicated later, the circular stated.

The conference is expected to provide a platform for senior officials to exchange insights and develop strategies to optimise public service delivery, tackle administrative challenges, and improve the overall welfare of Odisha’s citizens, a senior official expressed.

Worth mentioning, the State government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had convened its first District Collectors’ conference starting September 7, 2024, to strengthen governance and improve the execution of different welfare schemes.

The two-day event represented a significant move toward boosting administrative efficiency and promoting a people-centric approach.

With a focus on the effective implementation of both central and state government schemes, the event sought to address the needs of the most marginalised communities across the State.
