Odisha teacher reaches school drunk, beats up students leaving them traumatised

In a deeply disturbing incident, a teacher has been accused of brutally assaulting students inside a school in Angul district, sparking widespread outrage and concern among parents and locals. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday at Sana Bagadari Upper Primary School under the Palalahada block.

According to allegations, the teacher, identified as Dharanidhar Behera, arrived at the school premises in an allegedly inebriated condition and physically assaulted several students without provocation. The shocking incident has left students traumatised and has created an atmosphere of fear within the school, raising serious questions about the safety and well-being of children in educational institutions.

Soon after the incident came to light, angry parents and local residents gathered near the school and demanded immediate and stringent action against the accused teacher. 

They expressed grave concern over how such an individual could be entrusted with the responsibility of shaping young minds, calling the alleged act a gross violation of trust and professional ethics.

Despite repeated attempts, no response could be obtained from the accused teacher regarding the allegations. The silence has further fuelled public anger and suspicion surrounding the incident.

Meanwhile, the Additional Block Education Officer (ABEO) has assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the matter. The official stated that statements will be recorded and all aspects of the incident examined carefully. 

Authorities have further clarified that strict disciplinary action will be initiated if the allegations are proven to be true, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for students.
