Bhubaneswar: Odia movie 'Bhija Matira Swarga’ has been adjudged as the best feature film at the 30th Odisha State Film Awards announced by the Culture Department here on Tuesday.

Film maker Akshay Parija has been chosen for prestigious Mohan Sunder Dev Goswami Samman for his film Bhija Matira Swarga.

The State Film Awards 2018 were announced in 27 categories. Culture department minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, department secretary and members of the jury committee were present during the announcement ceremony today.

Noted writer Bijay Mishra will get the prestigious Jayadev Award for his lifetime contribution to Odia film industry.

Veteran actor Mihir Das and Archita will receive the award in best actor and best actress categories for the Bhija Matira Swarga and Champion, respectively.

D. Niranjan Reddy has been adjudged best story writer for movie Ole Ole Dil Bole while Basantraj Samal has been adjudged best lyricist for the movie 'Sathi Tu FeriAa', Karunakar (best playback singer male) for FeriAa and Antara Chakraborty (best singer female) for Sathi Tu FeriAa.

Similarly, Asuthosh Mohapatra will get the best screenplay award for Bhija Matira Swarga while Manoj Mishra has been chosen best supporting actor (male) for Champion while Shivani Khara bagged best supporting actor (female) for FeriAa.

Rakhi has been chosen best comedian for Deewana Heli To Pain and Sarthak Hota (best child artist) for Feriaa. Sangram Maharana bagged the Best Art Director award for FeriAa, Nandalal Mohapatra best dialogue writer for Bhija Matira Swarga. Moreover, Munna Babu has been adjudged best choreographer for FeriAa.

The culture department also announced the 7th State Tele Film Awards today.
