Odisha shocker: Minor tied up and abandoned in forest after attempted rape!

In a shocking incident, miscreants allegedly attempted to rape a minor girl and later tied her hands and legs before abandoning her in a forest under Belghar Police Station area in Kandhamal district in Odisha on Monday.

According to sources, the minor girl had gone to a nearby river to relieve herself when two miscreants abducted her. They reportedly took her to a forest area, where they attempted to rape her.

However, when the miscreants failed in their attempt, they allegedly tied her hands and legs and covered her mouth with clothes before abandoning her in a forest.

After spending a terrifying night in the forest, the girl somehow managed to free herself with great difficulty and returned home. She later narrated her ordeal to her family members.

Following this, the family lodged a written complaint at the Belghar Police Station. The police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

In connection with the case, one person has been detained and is being interrogated as part of the ongoing investigation.
