Amiya appears at number 66 on the list of arrests. Although Kulamani is originally from Keonjhar, he was serving as the DIG (Prisons) of Sambalpur division. The former DIG retired about three months ago.

In another dramatic development today, large crowds have gathered outside Berhampur jail, where many of the arrested candidates have been lodged. Family members, visibly distressed, are demanding a transparent probe and fair treatment for the accused.

The scandal has rocked police recruitment system, raising serious concerns over integrity and transparency. Meanwhile, pressure mounts on the investigating authorities to act swiftly and impartially as more high-profile names continue to emerge in the widening investigation.

Worth mentioning, more revelations emerged as Suresh Nayak, owner of ‘Silicon Private Limited’, was interrogated earlier in the day in connection with the SI recruitment scam in Odisha. Nayak was questioned at the Crime Branch headquarters in Cuttack City.

The private company was previously entrusted with conducting the SI recruitment examination.

Mastermind of the job fraud, identified as Shankar Prusty, and his aide, identified as Muna Mohanty, are absconding. It is said that both of their mobile phones are switched off.

The probe into the SI recruitment scam has intensified, revealing a tangled web of corruption involving middlemen, private institutions, and even family members of police officers.

In a startling development, arrested candidates have alleged that their academic certificates were taken by agents promising guaranteed jobs.

It is said, the scam came to light after the intervention of Odisha Chief Minister. Information regarding the OPRB (Odisha Police Recruitment Board) exam scam had reached the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
