Odisha Police DG Abhay Reviews Anti-Maoist Ops In Koraput
Koraput: Making his first official visit to Koraput district after assuming charge, Odisha DGP Abhay on Saturday held a close door meeting with superintendent of police (SPs) of six districts and senior officials of Border Security Force (BSF) and Special Operation Group (SOG).
Sources said that a detailed discussion on intensifying anti-Maoist operations and other law and order situation was held at the high-level meeting today.
Senior officials of Odisha police including IG (Operations) Amitabh Thakur, ADG (Law and Order) DS Kutte and Intellegence DIG RK Sharma also attended the meeting.
The 1986 batch IPS officer of Odisha cadre, Abhay was earlier serving as the Director of Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad. He assumed the charge as Odisha DGP and head of police force on December 9.
